SEO plus Social Media content creates useful signals for Search Engine Optimisation
To determine how popular your brand and content are, search engines consider your social media signals. In particular, they consider the following questions:
- How active are your social media accounts?
- How fresh and up-to-date are your social media accounts?
- How much engagement and how many shares does your website content get on social media?
Now this doesn’t mean that should solely consider Facebook your entire social media marketing strategy for your business, as we outlined in a previous blog post, you need to be cautious about putting all your marketing eggs into the Facebook basket.

Along with the excitement in the past few years for businesses identifying and realising the benefits of participating in social media for their brand, which provides the opportunity to listen to brand references and join in the conversation with their consumers and potential prospects.
